May's New Images: Solitary Sandpiper

Photograph of a Solitary Sandpiper during spring migration at Ottawa National Wildlife Area in Ohio. Resembles but is much smaller than the Yellowlegs. Uncommon but widespread on mudflats, usually freshwater, especially at the edges of small brushy ponds or ditches.
